Do you want “relevance”? Here’s a play as up-to-date as the newest web site! Cyber-Mare takes on important Cyberspace safety issues and information, never talks down to young people and tempers all with humour in vignettes with strong drama and believable characters. Today’s kids potentially wander a vast frontier of uncharted internet territory, and from the apparent safety of their own homes, open the door to hidden dangers every time they enter a chat room, post a photo on a social networking site, or even send an e-mail. Cyber-Mare presents scenes with youth headed for trouble on the internet: cyber-bullying, identity theft, stalkers posing as peers, mass forwarding of embarrassing photos or private information etc., but never becomes preachy. This is a highly recommended play for all families.
