In what is likely a World Premiere event, Original Kids will produce both the original legendary Broadway full-length Annie as well as its Off-Broadway sequel, Annie Warbucks, for Christmas 2010. Audiences can choose either show or better, see both for the entire experience and the complete story. Original Kids had a major triumph in its 1996 production of Annie Warbucks, but apart from one production of the much simplified Annie Junior, has never presented Annie. Until now, that is! Annie introduces us to the orphan Annie and shows us her adventures up to what seems to be a happy conclusion with billionaire Oliver Warbucks and a joyous Christmas party at his Manhattan mansion. Annie Warbucks begins at that very moment, and we find that all is not as optimistic as we think. Annie has challenging troubles ahead. These two classic musicals are filled with great characters, old and young, for actors to play and for audiences of all ages to cheer and to boo; brilliant music to sing, and exciting adventures to enjoy.
