We’re reuniting playwright Cherie Bennett and director Anne-Marie Caicco from last year’s hit drama, John Lennon and Me to bring you Bennett’s award-winning, and explosive new play, Reviving Ophelia. This powerful drama, based on true stories, is leavened with humour as it traces the lives of four girls from first grade through high school to graduation and young adulthood. We meet the people in their lives, as the girls battle the corrosive influences of popular culture, alcohol, drugs and relationships, yearning for the personal star that will guide each of them home. This play is guaranteed to provoke both emotions and thought in all who see it! (80 minutes. Rated PG 13)
